It’s been a year since you left,
I miss you Papa!
When I want to share something amusing to have a hearty laugh with you,
I miss you Papa!
When I am unwell, and want to feel the healing touch of your hand on my forehead,
I miss you Papa!
Whenever I wear something new and wait to hear a compliment from you,
I miss you Papa!
When I achieve something and expect a congratulations from you,
I miss you Papa!
When I feel like discussing various things with you, like we used to do,
I miss you Papa!
Every day,and on every special occasion,be it birthdays, anniversaries or festivals,
I miss you Papa!
Above all, when I want to feel like ‘Daddy’s little girl’,
I miss you the most Papa!
For I know,I will never be able to feel like this again!

About the poem: Five years ago,in the month of October, my father left for his heavenly abode, creating a void in our lives. His demise had a profound effect on me.Amongst his children,I was the one who spent maximum amount of time with him.
He was a very compassionate, loving and empathetic person with a heart of gold.A true philosopher,at the same time a person who loved life-good food and fashionable clothes, who believed in living life king size.
A scientific person, not only being a medical doctor, but who also had interest in astrology, palmistry and spirituality.A kid at heart,he gave the best of life to his kids. This poem is a tribute to my Dad which I wrote, after a year of his demise.Missing and remembering him today and everyday.
Each and every single word is so touchy …. Can connect so well. Our super hero :*

Sad to know about your loss,so early in life.
Yes,I totally agree with you.No matter how successful we are,but we always need our parents in every stage of life, and miss them if they are not around.
